Paqueta urged to focus on keeping Nuno’s Irons alive

NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO has claimed the “noise” around Lucas Paqueta is in the past and the Brazil star can “refocus” on his game - and saving West Ham from the drop.

The former AC Milan and Lyon midfielder was finally cleared of four charges of spot-fixing after a two-year FA investigation. He faced a potential life ban if he had been found guilty of deliberately getting booked.

Paqueta, 28, scored three times in August - and celebrated his goal against Nuno’s Forest just before deadline day by throwing away an imaginary phone and kissing the badge to show his commitment.

And the Hammers No.10 displayed his abilities on the world stage by providing an assist - his first of the season ~ for Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli in Brazil's midweek defeat to Japan.
