You know when you are in the company of someone who cares

A DAD whose daughter died after being given ecstasy held a tearful summit with the victims minister yesterday as he fights for a new 999 law.

Stewart Handling has been battling for justice for his daughter Grace, 13, since a court found the culpable homicide case against the man who gave her drugs on her last day of school not proven - a verdict set to be abolished.

Now Stewart is backing a campaign to make it a crime if a person fails to dial 999 for help, after Grace lay for almost a day on the living room floor of Calum Owens, 24, who fled after giving her pills at his home in Irvine in June 2018.

The 55-year-old dad of three held an emotional meeting with Siobhian Brown, minister for victims and community safety, in Ayr.
