Kev wants to find his shooting boots for Dons and earn dream place at World Cup with Scots

- SCOTT BURNS

SPARTA PRAGUE v ABERDEEN TONIGHT, 8PM, LIVE ON TNT SPORTS 2

KEVIN NISBET has admitted he has a World Cup dream he simply has to realise.

He knows to have any chance of blasting himself into Steve Clarke's squad then he has to start finding the net for Aberdeen.

Nisbet has shared the striking responsibilities with Marko Lazetic this season but knows if he wants to make his Scotland World Cup finals dream come true then he has to become the main man at Pittodrie.

He said: “With the World Cup coming up, that’s a big motivator, and it's up to me to go and get myself into the squad. I have been around the squad before, I've been to the Euros, so I know how good it is.

“The motivation is there, I've been there and it’s about trying to get into the squad again now.

“Having been involved before, that makes you even more determined.

“Knowing what it's like, getting the full feel for it - the weeks leading up to it, the training camp with the boys.

“Everyone is together for three or four weeks, so it's a great time.”

The 28-year-old has 11 caps and last played against Georgia two years ago. He was previously part of Scotland's Euro 2020 and would love the chance to be in the USA, where Scotland take on Haiti, Morocco and Brazil.

Nisbet also knows big goals on this stage, like he scored in the home win against Noah, would go a long way to helping his cause.
