ST ROCH'S skipper Dylan Kennedy was glad to get the better of the terrible conditions to set up a fourth-round home clash with Bonnyrigg Rose in the South Challenge Cup.

Kennedy scored the opener and he admitted: “It wasn't pretty at all to watch, although getting through the tie is all that matters. The pitch was very poor after the heavy rain all week.

“But we thoroughly deserved the win and can now look forward to a massive tie in the next round. Bonnyrigg are a top side and it's games like that you want to play in.”
