STILL GAME Arfield wants to show he can produce big moments after finally joining Livingston
DAVIE MARTINDALE joked he'd be running out for Livingston's over-50s but Scott Arfield admits a two-decade long target to hit 40 is now under review.
Even so, the 37-year-old says swapping one promoted side for the other made sense given he doesn't want “somebody retiring me” when he’s still “desperate for moments’.
The midfielder checked into his local club last week following his Falkirk release, keen to inject momentum to get off the foot of the table.
Martindale revealed after Arfield returned to Scottish football last year hed tried to land him plenty of times as the player joked his gym programme was off-putting.
“He still tells me hes going to retire at Livingston... he’s going to play for the over-50s!” quipped the gaffer back then.
“I think Scotty and I will be in the same team because by the time he signs for Livi, it's going to be walking football... Il be the oldest and he'll be the youngest”
