SOUTHPORT: Killer's mum and dad must face justice say families

FAMILIES of the three little girls killed by Southport monster Axel Rudakubana say his parents must be held accountable for allowing "evil to exist under their roof".

After listening to two days of evidence, they launched a scathing attack, saying the couple must have know their then-17-year-old son was capable of horrific violence.

Nicholas Bowen KC, representing the families, told dad Alphonse: "They have complete disdain for your excuses."

Rudakubana, now 19, is serving a 52-year life sentence for the murders of Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, at a dance class in July last year.

As the first phase of the inquiry into the atrocity finished yesterday, Elsie's parents, Jenni and David Stancombe, said: "They knew how dangerous he was, yet they stayed silent."
