ANAS Sarwar yesterday urged the Crown to probe those running the country when patients died from infections caught on wards.

The Scottish Labour leader said John Swinney, Nicola Sturgeon and a senior managers of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde should be investigated.

That board finally accepted last week there was a “causal connection’ between the state of the buildings on the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus which led to infections and contributed to deaths.
