Luca is set for kick-off after boot to the face

LUCA STEPHENSON is expected to be fit for Dundee United tomorrow night despite breaking his nose and taking a nasty kick to the face.

The on-loan Liverpool midfielder suffered the heavy bow in Saturday's win over St Mirren.

Stephenson was caught by Mark O'Hara but dug deep and played on into the second half to help United hold on to the points.

Manager Jim Goodwin confirmed he expects Stephenson to be OK to face Motherwell at Fir Park.

He said: “Luca's mouth is in a bit of a state, he’s got a serious cut in his gum.
