Brodie, 16, shows signs of improvement after scaffolding accident

A TEENAGER hurt in a scaffolding accident has woken up after almost a week in a coma.

Brodie Thomson, of Denny, Stirlingshire, spent six days on a ventilator after last week's incident at work in Park View, Kirkcaldy.

The 16-year-old suffered a serious head wound when he was hit by a falling pole. He was later rushed to a specialist ward at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Friend Lee Combes said Brodie's first act after coming round was to wipe tears from his girlfriend's eyes.
