Doctor Who star Lenny Rush is getting ready to host BBC Children In Need for the third time and he is already looking forward to one of the backstage perks of the night.

"Behind the stage there's always a bag of Haribo that's being passed around to me," he said. "So it's nice to come off stage and stuff my face with them and then go back on. I don't have any requests when I'm on the show but maybe I should say, 'I need my Haribo before I can go on."

The 16-year-old Bafta award-winning actor is presenting this year alongside Mel Giedroyc, Rochelle Humes, Vernon Kay, Paddy McGuinness and Big Zuu, and admitted he has a favourite co-host.

"I've got a bias towards Mel because I've done it with her since I started," he said. "She's so funny as well. I remember her dressing up as a food item and it was mental backstage - Mel Giedroyc trying to get into a sausage roll outfit in about 30 seconds."

But the chaos of a live three-hour show doesn't faze Lenny, who reveals he doesn't suffer too badly from nerves.
