'Discreet' crossbow packages plea at 15

AXEL Rudakubana asked two archery shops if they could deliver crossbows in "discreet" packaging when he was just 15, the public inquiry heard yesterday.

Just over two years before his attack in Southport, Rudakubana, sent emails to Tactical Archery and Merlin Archery, quizzing the retailers about their packaging and age verification.

Bradley Sutherland, director of MB Outdoors, which runs Tactical Archery, confirmed the firm received an email, signed "A", in May 2022.
