Celtic line up advanced talks over next 48 hours to secure MLS coach Nancy as new manager.
-
CELTIC are in advanced talks to land Wilfried Nancy as their new boss.
Record Sport revealed yesterday the Columbus Crew head coach is Parkhead power broker Dermot Desmond's No.1 target.
And discussions with club chiefs are planned for this weekend with a view to nailing down a deal. Celtic have remained in touch with several candidates but Nancy has been top of the wish list from day one.
Major shareholder Desmond originally reached out to the Frenchman last month in the wake of Brendan Rodgers' shock departure.
The Irish tycoon agreed to wait until Crew's MLS campaign was over but ramped up the chase on the back of their play-off exit last weekend.
Record Sport understands Nancy has been sold on the move and Parkhead chiefs hope he can be on board for their Premiership return against St Mirren next Saturday.
