Amber warning for heavy rain and wind as Scotland braces for damage from storm

THE Met Office has issued an amber weather warning as Storm Amy sweeps Scotland with damaging winds and downpours.
The severe weather warning is in place from 5pm today until around 9am tomorrow, bringing chaos to transport and power supplies.
Heavy rain and strong winds in western parts are expected to reach 60-70mph, with more exposed areas seeing speeds exceeding 95mph.
