Woman 'tried to open jet door in flight'

A RYANAIR flight was forced to land at Manchester Airport after a passenger allegedly tried to 'open an emergency exit' mid-flight, according to an eyewitness on board.

Other passengers intervened and alerted the cabin crew, who then involved the flight's captain, the witness added. The individual was moved away from the emergency exit seat and the captain had to stay by the exit.

The aircraft landed and the woman in question was 'escorted off the plane by Greater Manchester Police,' the fellow passenger reported.
