Wales handed big advantage in the play-offs

WALES will face Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semifinals of the World Cup qualifying playoffs in March, and could face four-time winners Italy in the final.

Both games will be played at Cardiff City Stadium in March, which could prove a huge benefit to Craig Bellamy's men, as they bid to make only their second finals appearance since 1958.

Wales have never beaten Bosnia in a competitive fixture, with their last meeting ending in a 2-0 defeat back in 2015.

Their last victory over Italy came back in 2002, a match Bellamy both played and scored in, as the hosts roared to an incredible 2-1 win at the-then Millennium Stadium.

The setting is different this time around, however, and Wales will be hoping for more heroics at Cardiff City Stadium as they bid to topple one of world football's biggest teams.
