Danan's drug death 'misadventure'

THE mother of Hollyoaks star Paul Danan has paid tribute to her son after a coroner concluded he died by misadventure.

Beverley Danan spoke about the actor's life at an inquest into his death, saying: "Paul helped so many people from all walks of life, but just could not help himself in the same way.

"His smiling face and love for life will always be remembered." Paul, 46, died after taking a cocktail of drugs including cocaine and heroin.

He was found unresponsive at his home in Brislington, Bristol, on January 15.

The actor, who was open about his struggles with addiction, had previously admitted spending more than £1million on rehab over the years.
