NHS hospital axes link to disgraced royal

AN NHS Trust has removed a plaque commemorating the opening of a hospital by Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Chase Farm Hospital, part of London's Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust, until recently had a plaque that was unveiled by the then-Duke of York at its opening ceremony in May 2019.

But after the King stripped his brother's title as a prince last week, we can reveal the trust took the decision to remove the memorial tablet yesterday.

A spokesman confirmed: "Following the events of recent days and the changes to his status, the plaque at Chase Farm Hospital is being taken down."
