Actor and comedian Tony Slattery, best known for Channel 4’s Whose Line is it Anyway? died on January 14, aged 65. Hollyoaks actor Paul Danan died of a drug overdose on January 15, aged 46. Irish singer Linda Nolan, of The Nolan Sisters, died after a well-publicised battle with breast cancer on January 15, aged 65. US surrealist filmmaker David Lynch, best known for the hit TV series ‘Twin Peaks, died on January 15, aged 78. Actress Dame Joan Plowright, whose career spanned over six decades, died on January 16, aged 95. Legendary Scotland and Manchester United footballer Denis Law died on January 17, aged 84. Sixties icon Marianne Faithfull, singer and former girlfriend of Mick Jagger, died on January 30, aged 78.
