Vardy slays boyhood club as flying Foxes march on

JAMIE VARDY twice plunged the knife into the Owls once without even touching the ball.

The Foxes skipper, saluted as one of their own by the travelling Sheffield Wednesday fans, slayed his boyhood club as Enzo Maresca's royal blue mean machine continued along their winning path.

Vardy, 37, was making his first start since the initial fixture between these two in November, but he needed fewer than four minutes to make an impact.

His beautifully disguised step-over allowed Abdul Fatawu to walk the ball into the net.
