Driver will not be charged over crash that killed two schoolgirls
Daily Express
|June 27, 2024
THE parents of two eight-year-old girls killed when a car crashed into their school have criticised prosecutors after it was confirmed that the driver will not face charges.
Nuria Sajjad and Selena Lau died when a Land Rover ploughed into an end-of-term tea party at The Study Preparatory School in Wimbledon on July 6 last year.
Their families have been told by the Crown Prosecution Service that the female motorist will not be charged as she suffered an epileptic seizure.
Claire Freemantle, the driver of the vehicle, expressed her "deepest sorrow" and said she had "no recollection of what took place".
But the girls' families said that "justice has neither been done, nor has been seen to be done".Denne historien er fra June 27, 2024-utgaven av Daily Express.

A magnificent reception
MOBILE phones, as you know, can be pain in the neck, especially when reception is patchy. But do you know whose fault it is when a call keeps cutting out? It’s mine. Yes, really. I’m entirely to blame.
