Blow to Bezos as mission to launch rocket is aborted in final minutes

AMAZON billionaire Jeff Bezos's space firm called off the launch of its new rocket with just minutes to spare, after problems were found during its debut mission countdown.
Blue Origin's unmanned New Glenn had been due to launch at 8.15am UK time yesterday in a big step forward in the tycoon's bid to compete with Elon Musk's SpaceX.
But the discovery of a vehicle sub-system issue left his team with no choice but to halt the mission.
Blue Origin said: "We're standing down...to troubleshoot a vehicle sub-system issue that will take us beyond our launch window."
