Villa midfielder ready to repay Unai's faith
IT is the second coming of Ross Barkley at Aston Villa.
The midfielder is relaxed, self-assured and confident about three big issues ahead of a groundbreaking season for a club where he spent time on loan three years ago.
First of all, that Villa and the Premier League are about to see the best of him.
Secondly, that Unai Emery will elevate his game to a new level.
Oh, and finally, that Villa will lift some silverware.
Manager Emery wasted no time securing the services of the former England international after Luton's relegation was confirmed in May.
A £5million deal was agreed within days of the campaign drawing to a close and it is clear that the Basque's silver tongue and Villa's qualification for the Champions League - played a major part in Barkley's decision.
