STUDENTS TELL OF BLAZE AT CITY UNIVERSITY

- By DANNY THOMPSON News Reporter

STUDENTS at the University of Warwick have been giving their reactions after a large accommodation fire on the campus.

Crews from across Coventry fire stations rushed to Arthur Vick 1 in the heart of the university site on Wednesday evening.

The blaze, understood to have been started while someone was cooking, was extinguished by firefighters while the building was evacuated. Luckily there are said to be no injuries.

The fire was the talk of the campus the following morning and we went along to see what people were saying.

A resident of the building who was inside when the fire began said:

“The room where it started was completely engulfed. We all got out of there and we could see the flames coming out of the roof.”
