Supply firms 'need more help' after JLR cyber attack

AN automotive expert has said the government must do more to help thousands of supply chain businesses and their staff left devastated by the ongoing Jaguar Land Rover cyber attack.

JLR production has been on hold since the company was hit by a cyber attack and the halt has had a big impact on supply firms

According to union bosses, the government is advising workers who've been laid off to apply for Universal Credit. But more needs to be done, says automotive analyst Dr Charles Tennant.

The cyber attack has had a catastrophic impact on JLR's manufacturing operations since it happened three weeks ago. The attack has closed down the Coventry company's factories around the world, which in turn has left companies in the supply chain that supports JLR on their knees.
