Historian shortlisted for prestigious writing prize

A CAMBRIDGE author has been shortlisted for the UK's most prestigious history writing prize.
EAGLE AND THE HART
(HELEN CASTOR)
The Wolfson History Prize is the most valuable history writing prize in the country, awarding the winner £50,000 and each of the five shortlisted authors £5,000.
Included on it is The Eagle and the Hart: The Tragedy of Richard ll and Henry IV by Helen Castor, published by Allen Lane.
Helen, 57 is an acclaimed historian of the medieval and Tudor period and a BBC broadcaster.
Born in Cambridge, she later completed BA and a PhD at Gonville and Caius College in the city and went on to teach history at the University of Cambridge.
