City's Christmas tradition is heading into your living room

FOR many, there is no better way to get into the Christmas spirit than listening to some Christmas carols.

King's College Choir, part of the city's Christmas tradition

As you sit down after a day of preparations on Christmas Eve, tuning into Carols from King's is a lovely way to unwind.

It will be broadcast from King's College Chapel in Cambridge. Every year, the University of Cambridge's King's College Choir perform a carol service which is broadcast on BBC Two on Christmas Eve.

The service is prerecorded and this year will be on TV at 5.45pm and is scheduled to last for one hour and 15 minutes. Last year marked the 70th anniversary of the first broadcast, which was in 1954.
