DETAILS REVEALED FOR THE REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE AND SERVICE IN BURTON THIS SUNDAY
BURTON will come together on Sunday for the town’s annual Remembrance Parade and Service to honour those who lost their lives in conflict.
The parade, organised by East Staffordshire Borough Council, will start at Burton Library Car Park from 9.30am, departing at 9.50am.
Led by the 351 (Burton upon Trent) Squadron Corps of Drums, participants will make their way down the High Street into the Market Place, arriving at St Modwen’s Parish Church for a Service of Remembrance at 10am.
Residents wishing to attend the service, but not march in the parade, are asked to be seated in the church by 9.50am.
At 10.55am, an Act of Remembrance will take place at the war memorial on Lichfield Street, including a wreath-laying ceremony.
