PLEA TO SHOPPERS BEFORE SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY THIS WEEKEND
AHEAD of this year's Small Business Saturday, council leaders are calling on shoppers to support local enterprise and boost the Staffordshire economy.
Small Business Saturday takes place this weekend to celebrate and encourage support for local companies.
And with nearly 90 per cent of all Staffordshire businesses being SMEs, the county council is urging people to spend locally.
The authority is also reminding small business owners of a range of support services and programmes available to help them thrive.
They include both the Get Started and Grow and Succeed and Grow schemes.
Get Started and Grow, for businesses up to five years old, provides a comprehensive package of support - including advice and guidance on HR, accounting, legal, social media, branding and website design and management. People can find out more on the Get Started and Grow webpage.
