RAMS CHIEF ADMITS TO A ‘CHALLENGE’ THIS YEAR - AND MORE TO COME
DERBY County owner David Clowes has seen his Clowes Developments firm record a turnover of £147.1 million in its 2024/25 financial year.
The 56-year-old Ashbourne-based businessman purchased Derby in July 2022 through his company Clowes Developments.
The lifelong Rams fan stepped in after a proposed takeover by American businessman Chris Kirchner collapsed.
Clowes heavily backed Derby head coach John Eustace in the 2025 summer transfer window with 13 new players arriving at Pride Park.
His financial support appears to be paying off, with the Rams currently sitting 10th in the Championship after finishing 19th last term - and the club on a five-game winning streak.
And the latest accounts from Clowes’ business show that revenue is down £7m from the previous financial year in 2023/24.
