It's the time of year, as we wait for things to happen, when we take a look back at how the season just ended panned out, month by month. And even by Burton Albion's standards it was a roller-coaster, as the club set out with high expectations, fell into trouble and eventually escaped relegation with a game to spare. They went into April six points from safety.

■APRIL
While six points from safety with a games in hand looked very do-able for Burton Albion, a glance at the fixture list for all of the teams in trouble suggested that the Brewers had the most onerous task.
Albion's list was peppered with promotion contenders and it seemed hard to see where enough points were coming from.
First up were Leyton Orient, who had recovered from a wobble and had the play-offs in their sights.
And it seemed ominous when Dan Agyei put them ahead after 10 minutes when Max Crocombe could not hold Charlie Kelman's shot.
