DON'T know about you, but I do like being reminded of simple home truths. Things that make complete sense when you give them a moment's thought. This last week, for instance. Been glorious. The loveliest of weeks here at Cullimore Cottage. Of course, the fact we're in the sweetest of seasons right now does help. But, even bearing that in mind, I can’t say exactly why home life tasted quite so sweet. A cocktail of wonders that lit up our world, making even the sunshine feel just that bit more sunny than usual.

Regular readers probably won't be surprised to learn that family were involved in the loveliness. A marvellous melange of grown-up kids, not so grown-up grandkids, and small, fluffy poochy pals, all leaning in, wagging their tails, helping to make the past few days even more dazzling and delightful than usual. Having said which, I should probably point out that the poochy pals were the only ones with waggy tails. Don’t want you getting the wrong idea about us here at Cullimore Cottage. Admittedly, some of us are a bit odd. (Mainly me.) But even I'm not that odd.
