Magic moments keep Robins on course for the play-offs
Bristol Post

JUST how many more times are they going to make us ride this emotional roller-coaster? Bristol City never tend to do things the simple way and the Good Friday win over Sunderland was probably the perfect example of that as Liam Manning's side moved a step closer to securing that coveted top-six finish.
In what may have potentially been a dress rehearsal for a play-off semi-final, City not only came out on top but maintained their recent momentum, albeit against a side with little to play for having already booked their place in the top six.
Following a competitive opening seven minutes, the game was turned on its head when Oliver Langford showed Trai Hume a straight red card for a foul on Nahki Wells. The Bermudian international had got ahead of his man before going to ground under what appeared to be a faint touch. What followed was an almost 25-minute spell of City dominance as the Robins looked to find a way past the Black Cats' low block, until Eliezer Mayenda flipped the script.
After picking up the ball on the edge of his own penalty area, the Sunderland forward rode the challenges of both Rob Dickie and Joe Williams, burst past Zak Vyner, stopped to beat the defender again on the edge of the Reds' box before slotting past Max O'Leary.
