AFC Mangotsfield are proving a significant thorn to all comers in Bristol Premier Combination Division
One activity right now as Lion found to their cost in the latest reduced round of games.Mangos had shown themselves to be something of a force up front on more than one occasion this term, with big league victories over Pucklechurch Sports (4-0), Cribbs A (5-1) and bottom-placed Hanham Athletic Reserves (7-1), not to mention a 6-2 GFA Senior Amateur Cup second-round success at Chipping Sodbury Town Reserves.
Lion became the latest team to be floored by Mangotsfield’s attacking potency, as goals by Tim Rice, Simon Mansfield and Kris Douglas ensured them a 3-0 Little Stoke Park victory and a fifth win from seven outings to see them into fourth spot, with no game now until their Saturday, December 20 away appointment with leaders AEK Boco Reserves.
Oldland Abbotonians Reserves are finally enjoying the fruits of their labours following an inauspicious start to their campaign in the league's second tier.
