Youth leaders condemn racists' vile messages

YOUNGSTERS FACED ONLINE HATE AFTER SHARING DIVERSITY ON TIK TOK
YOUNG people attending a youth club have shared a message of unity and diversity - and racists hated it.
Teenagers aged 15 to 19 created a Tik Tok video showing the different nationalities of members of Hotspot Youth Club, in Nechells.
But it ended up being shared on a far right social media group and attracted more than 100,000 views and vile comments.
The young people and leaders said the response had made them stronger and more determined to address misinformation and confront prejudice.
The youth club opened in Nechells seven months ago and offers a safe space for boys and young men to meet, play sports and discuss the hot topics of the day.
