UNAI Emery insists Aston Villa are only focused on beating Everton rather than setting a new club record with a 12th consecutive home win this weekend.

Villa seeking a dozen of the best with home run

After a season-opening goalless draw against Newcastle followed by a 3-0 defeat by Crystal Palace, Villa have gone on to win their last 11 at Villa Park in all competitions.

But Emery was adamant there was no extra motivation in beating Everton tomorrow afternoon to make it a dozen home wins in succession as they look to reinforce third spot in the Premier League.

"We are speaking about three points and how we must be focused individually and collectively on the match we are playing," Emery told a press conference.

"We are not feeling something extra, we are feeling we need three points.

"Maybe we can get some new target for winning our matches in a row, but the priority is to win. If we are winning, we are achieving it (12 home wins in a row).
