Pair's 'mystery' attack left victim disfigured

DUO USED METAL BAR AND GAS CANISTER TO INFLICT 'GRAVE' INJURIES
A MAN'S head was left 'out of shape' after a savage attack at his HMO by two men wielding a metal bar and gas canister.
Adrian Hay and Mohammed Banaras battered the man repeatedly around the head and knocked him unconscious, a court was told.
Cameras at the address on Pershore Road had been deliberately moved beforehand.
Both men admitted unlawful wounding. Hay, 54, of Middleton Road, Kings Norton, also pleaded guilty to possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
He was jailed for eight years at Birmingham Crown Court, while Banaras, 30, of Lyncroft Road, Tyseley, received four years.
Recorder Ben Close said the motive for the attack 'remains a mystery' but the victim would have to live with the impact of his 'grave' injuries for the rest of his life.
