Moors boss gutted after epic FA Trophy shoot-out defeat

CHRIS Millington admitted he was ‘gutted’ after seeing his Solihull Moors side exit the FA Trophy following a dramatic penalty shootout.

Trailing 2-0 early in the second half, Moors clawed their way back to draw 2-2 at the end of 90 minutes but it was the National League North side who went through to the fourth round 9-8 on penalties, AFC Fylde keeper Pat Boyes scoring with his kick and then saving that of Solihull shotstopper Laurie Walker.

And the Moors boss also pointed to a 20-minute period at the end of the first half when his side allowed their opponents into the game having missed a number of opportunities themselves.
