New owners keen to inspire Bournemouth

BOURNEMOUTH Rugby Club, who currently play in Regional 2 South Central, at the sixth tier of the English rugby union system, are set to take a major leap into the future following a successful acquisition.
-
A consortium of three local businessmen, Matthew Barker, Richard Carr and Drew Mellor have acquired the membership interests of Bournemouth rugby club and have outlined an ambitious plan for success on and off the field.
It means that the historic club founded 131 years ago can continue to play a vital role in the local community and grow the next generation of sporting talent.
Bournemouth chairman Simon Carkeet said: "We are very grateful.
