Many know Illac Diaz as the man behind Liter of Light, a global grassroots movement committed to providing affordable and sustainable energy sources to those with little or no access to electricity. Despite today’s modernity, millions around the globe still live in “energy poverty”, a term Diaz uses to refer to populations living without stable connection to necessary light sources. “The solution”, he says, “should be macroscale as well as bottom-up”.
