Seasoned hosts James and Jonno ensured their modernist LA villa was the ideal home to embrace their passions for design, food and entertaining

This house has the right spirit for us - for events, dinners and good times,' says James Williams, who lives here with his husband Jonno Burden. 'Beachwood Canyon is a sunny, wide, woodland canyon on the edge of Griffith Park, which for us is the heart of Los Angeles - a very desirable location where you are midway between the Hollywood establishment and the cool, young art and music scene.

Before finding their dream home, the couple had viewed more than 50 properties. When we walked into this house, it was all a bit of a surprise,' remembers James. You would never know from the street that it opens up into this quite "operatic" atrium with its towering ceiling and windows overlooking the canyon valley.'
