|May 2025
marie claire celebrated International Women's Day with a dynamic gathering powered by clever, creative and agenda-setting women from all walks of life.
Every year to mark International Women's Day, marie claire hosts a special event to celebrate the achievements and successes of women around the world. It's a time to not only pause for reflection but to honour the women who encourage and inspire us in our lives every day.
And this was certainly the spirit of marie claire's 2025 International Women's Day lunch, proudly presented by Pandora and supported by Medik8 and G. H. Mumm.
Hosted by marie claire editor Georgie McCourt, along with TV presenter and writer Melissa Leong, the event attracted a stellar line up of trailblazing speakers, celebrities, changemakers and advocates.
On the powerful speaker panel were human rights lawyer and barrister Jennifer Robinson, former Australian of the Year Professor Georgina Long, TV presenter and journalist Edwina Bartholomew, celebrated actor Asher Keddie, award-winning writer Kirli Saunders and MONA artist Kirsha Kaechele.
