IIJS Signature 2023 takes off on a grand note, special focus on LGDS

The five-day trade event saw the participation of a record number of visitors, with 10,000 domestic and 600 global companies participating in the show. As many as 1,300 exhibitors put up 2,400 stalls, and there was a special section for Lab-Grown Diamonds

IJS Signature 2023, the first trade show of the year, got off to a glittering start at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, on January 5, with several dignitaries and personnel of the industry present at the event. Along with the five-day event, India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME) also took off concurrently.

Organized by GJEPC, IIJS Signature 2023 was inaugurated by Anupriya Patel, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, who was also the chief guest, and Poonam Mahajan, Member of Parliament, and MP Ahammed, Chairman, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, who were the guests of honour. Also present at the occasion were R. Arulanandan, Director, Department of Commerce, Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry, GOI; Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC; Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Nirav Bhansali, Convener, National Exhibitions, GJEPC; Nitesh Gajera, Co-Convener, National Exhibitions, GJEPC; and Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC.

This year's event was the 15th edition of IIJS Signature, and the biggest-ever so far. The venue accommodated more than 1,300 exhibitors and over 2,400 booths, spread over six halls. As many as 24,000 visitors and 10,000 domestic companies attended the show.
