THE RED TEAM’S party trick of layering a slab of cache over the processing cores to make a blistering chip, especially for games, has finally found a home in a laptop. The chip is the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D, and has 16 Zen cores with 128MB of L2 cache. The base clock is 2.3GHz, with a top boost of 5.4GHz. It is, as AMD boasts, the best mobile gaming chip in the world.
