A 21-year-old thrill seeker died after instructors launched her off a bridge in Brazil. The woman wore a helmet but no safety ropes were visible

BEAUTIFUL bungee jumper Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas took a fatal 131-foot plunge from a bridge in Brazil when the team responsible for carrying out checks on her equipment failed to notice that her harness wasn’t clipped to a safety rope before hurling her over the edge, authorities say.

Haunting footage shows 21-year-old Maria being held aloft and tossed to her doom from the abandoned Skeleton Bridge in Limeira, São Paulo.

According to local media, the aspiring gym teacher had asked to be launched airplane-style — with operators hoisting her above their shoulders as she extended her arms.
