She may be a newcomer to The Crown, but Meg Bellamy was taking it all in her stride after stepping into the shoes of one of the world’s most famous royals.

The previously unknown actress, who plays Kate Middleton in the TV series, joined her castmates at the premiere of the eagerly awaited sixth and final series of the royal family drama.

Living up to her stylish new role, Meg, 21, arrived at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles in a chic black silk gown by Stella McCartney – a label the real-life Kate has often worn.

By her side were co-stars Elizabeth Debicki, who plays Diana, Princess of Wales; Khalid Abdalla, who plays Dodi Fayed; Sir Jonathan Pryce, reprising his role as the Duke of Edinburgh; and another newcomer, Ed McVey, making his debut in The  Crown as Prince William.
