McFLY SINGER DANNY WALKS HIS SISTER VICKY JONES UP THE AISLE AS SHE WEDS ANTHONY WRIGHT IN A DAY FULL OF MUSIC AND FUN

On the wedding day of Vicky Jones and Anthony Wright, there were tears of joy even before the ceremony had begun. When McFly singer Danny Jones saw his sister Vicky in her wedding dress for the first time, he was overwhelmed with emotion.

"I didn't expect that," he said, wiping away his tears. The bride and her mum Kathy Jones then also started crying. "It was a really special moment," says Vicky. "The three of us have such a strong bond." The music-filled day shared with family and friends, including Pixie Lott and her husband model Oliver Cheshire, was far from traditional. It included tattoos for the bride and groom during the ceremony, the couple’s own special vows and McFly as the surprise wedding band.

“It was really personal, and very different,” says Vicky, 38, a former contestant on ITV’s The Voice, who looked stunning in a floor-length dress by Morilee by Madeline Gardner, and silver platform Prada shoes. She carried a waterfall-style bouquet of dried and silk flowers and wore a double-layer, cathedral-length veil that had been specially embroidered with the words “From now until forever”. The bouquet also contained a charm featuring photos of Vicky’s late grandparents.

The bride was escorted up the aisle by both her brother and her mum. “I asked for a wider aisle to fit all three of us and the dress,” she laughs.

ONE BIG FAMILY

The star-studded wedding at New Craven Hall, an urban luxe events venue in Leeds, was also attended by Danny’s McFly bandmates Harry Judd and his wife Izzy, Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter.
