INSPIRED BY ANTON DU BEKE: JUDY MURRAY ON WHY IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO START A NEW CHAPTER IN LIFE

“I’ll be there, stressing,” she says with a laugh, adding: “When they both retire, I’ll be able to go to Wimbledon to watch the tennis and enjoy it.”

Judy, 63, has long been a fixture courtside, cheering on her boys as they rose to the top of their game and won ten Grand Slams between them.

Now she has drawn upon her years on the tennis circuit to write her first novel, The Wild Card, about a woman who makes a comeback to the game in later life and finds herself playing on Wimbledon’s Centre Court.

“The book has lots of messages, but it’s a real feel-good story,” Judy tells HELLO! in this exclusive interview. “It’s about triumph over adversity and the second chance that comes to you later in life. And not being afraid to take that first step and change course if the opportunity presents itself.”

Judy, who herself won 64 titles as a junior and senior player in Scotland and later became the coach of the British Fed Cup team, has certainly embraced the many opportunities that have come her way.
