Stepping out for a rare engagement together, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Edinburgh joined forces last week for an evening that highlighted their shared passion for conservation.

Sophie accompanied her nephew to the Royal Foundation's screening of Rhino Man, hosted by United for Wildlife (UFW), a charity founded by Prince William nine years ago. The documentary features ranger Anton Mzimba, whose murder last year sent shockwaves through the conservation community.

Arriving at Battersea Power Station cinema, the Duchess was a picture of summer chic in a purple floral dress by Erdem and beige Prada platform sandals, while William wore a smart blue suit. It is believed to be the first time the pair have carried out an official engagement as a duo, and William is understood to have invited Sophie, who has a strong interest in wildlife protection so that she could learn more about the charity.
