After playing in the doubles tournament with his brother Jamie Murray, Andy was surprised on court by presenter Sue Barker with a video montage of his stellar career, as his wife Kim and their daughters Sophia and Edie looked on, full of emotion.

“I’m so grateful that they’ve spent so much time watching me over the years,” Andy exclusively told hello!. “Just knowing they are in the crowd gives me a huge boost.”

Tennis legends Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, along with Britain’s Tim Henman, were also in the crowd to show support for their former rival, who, reflecting on his Wimbledon career, told us: “There have been so many specia l moments. I think winning in 2013 is hard to beat. It’s what I’d always dreamt of as a kid and never quite believed it would happen.”

The former world No. 1 thanked his team and family for their support, giving the crowd a giggle when he revealed his children’s plans for him after he quits tennis.
