WRINKLY Robert Redford is tired of hearing rumors that he's got one foot in the grave — so the 88-year-old The Way We Were actor has launched a “revenge come-back” after six years off the Hollywood grid!

The reclusive superstar shocked viewers when he turned up last month on the season premiere of AMC's hit thriller Dark Winds in a move he had shrouded in secrecy.
"Bob's out to prove that rumors of his demise have been greatly exaggerated," jokes a source close to the star.
Redford and Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, both exec producers of the series, made a surprise cameo playing chess-playing cellmates.

PHIL DANIELS plays a restless London youth in the 1979 British movie Quadrophenia, based on the Who's rock opera - but oddly, the chaotic production was not a musical, and the Who does not even appear in it! The lead was supposed to go to JOHN LYDON - better known as Johnny Rotten of notorious punk band the Sex Pistols - but the film's distributors thought he was too dicey a personality to insure. Nevertheless, production did not go smoothly. The Who's legendary drummer, KEITH MOON, died during filming, and a brawl scene in the seaside city of Brighton used two real- life rival gangs, resulting in a \"real riot - health and safety didn't come into it,\" according to Daniels.
